Beginning Shamanism Workshop

The beginning shamanism workshop is designed to teach you how to receive guidance from your spiritual teachers and power animals in the spirit realm. We will come together in person to build community and create a safe space where we can explore the spirit realms together.

During this course, you will learn:

• The History of Shamanism and Illness from a Shamanic Perspective

• How to safely do a Shamanic Journey into the Upper, Lower, and Middle World

• Meet at least one Spiritual Teacher and one Power Animal

• How to work with others to provide Spiritual Guidance

• A simple yet powerful healing method

Workshop Dates: September 9th and 10th, 2023; 9:00am to 5:00pm

Cost: $350

• Non-refundable deposit of $50 to save your spot in the workshop

Location: NE Portland, ORegon

We will gather in a beautiful yurt in NE Portland, Oregon. The address will be sent to participants who have completed the application and paid for the workshop.

Prerequisites: None

• This course is a prerequisite for the intermediate and advanced courses in Shamanism, including Medicine for the Earth and Advanced Shamanic Practitioner Training

What to Bring:

• Journal and any art supplies you feel called to bring

• Comfort items: pillows, blankets, chairs. There is seating for everyone, but please take care of your own needs and comfort

• Drum, Rattle, and/or Staff- if you do not have these items yet, it is ok; you can attend the workshop without them

• Eye covering for shamanic journeying

  • This can be a bandana, a scarf, a hood, or any eye mask

• Food and Water: Please bring any food or drinks you need to take care of yourself during the day. There will be light snacks and tea provided for the group.

• Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that allow you to work both indoors and outdoors

• We will have a central healing altar for you to set any items or prayers on while we are in the circle. Please remember to collect these items when you leave.

  • You must have permission to put anyone’s name on the altar to receive healing

Circle Guidelines:

• This is a confidential space. You may share your own experience, but not the experiences of others or your journey work for another

• Please honor everyone’s experience by being non-judgmental and giving space for each person to speak

• No alcohol or drug use is permitted

• No fire, smoking, vaping, etc., is allowed on the property

• Please exercise caution when interacting with any of the animals on the property

Advanced Shamanic Healing Apprentice Program: October 2021 through August 2022

Hybrid Format:

Virtual Zoom and In-Person Training in Tillamook, Oregon

Program Description: This intensive 11-month Advanced Shamanic Healing Apprentice Program will be co-taught by Shamanic Teachers Shelley Stump and Brittany McElfresh. It is meant for those who feel called by Spirit to become a Shamanic Healer/Practitioner. The program will help you deepen your connection to your Spirit Allies in preparation for becoming a Hollow Bone and teach you all of the core Shamanic healing methods. Those who graduate from the program will be ready to practice Shamanic healing with adults, children, animals, and the community.

The program will be organized into 3 modules:

• Module 1: Becoming the Hollow Bone

• Module 2: Core Shamanic Healing Techniques

• Module 3: Death and Dying

The format will be a combination of Zoom sessions twice a month on Sundays and 2 In-Person 3-day workshops held at Coyote Moon Healing Center in Tillamook, OR.

Pre-requisites:

1. Completion of Basic Shamanic Journeying and/or Awakening to the Spirit World workshops.

2. Completion of Medicine for the Earth and Healing with Spiritual Light workshop.

Please note: If you did not take these workshops with Shelley or Brittany, they need to be completed with an authorized Shamanic teacher on Sandra Ingerman’s website www.shamanicteachers.com. You can also complete this training by taking Shamanic Journeying for Guidance and Healing and Healing with Spiritual Light offered on-demand by Sandra Ingerman.

Class Size: Space is limited to a small group of participants and is filling quickly. Please email Shelley at shelley@coyotemoon.net to be put on our waiting list for enrollment. You will receive the registration documents in response to your email. Enrollment begins July 1, 2021, and the deadline to register is September 10, 2021.

Tuition Cost: Total tuition is $4,080.00 which can be paid in 5 installment payments of $816.00 each. Payments are due on Oct 10, 2021, Jan 9, 2022, April 3, 2022, June 6, 2022, and Aug 1, 2022. A non-refundable deposit of $100.00 is due by Sept 10, 2021, to hold your space. Payment can be made via Check, Paypal, or Zelle to shelley@coyotemoon.net. Limited scholarships will be considered on a case-by-case basis. Tuition does not include the cost of traveling to Tillamook, OR for the 2 In-Person 3-day sessions and craft materials for making a Shamanic eye curtain.

Pre-program Questionnarie: When you express interest in registering for the program, you receive a Program Overview, Release of Liability Form, and a Pre-Program Questionnaire that must be completed for registration. Teachers reserve the right to screen applicants and discern suitability of participation based on the responses to the questionnaire.

Description: This virtual 4 – week Shamanic Journeying workshop is a highly experiential workshop that will introduce you to the practice of Shamanic Journeying. The beauty of the Shamanic Journey is that it is a path of direct revelation. It allows you to access the unseen realms to receive guidance, healing, and it gives you the ability to work with Teachers, Power Animals, and other beings of light to restore yourself to a place of balance and wholeness. During this workshop, we will learn how to journey for ourselves as well as for others.

This workshop will cover the following topics:

• Introduction to Shamanism

• Fundamentals of the Shamanic Journey

• The Three Worlds: Upper, Middle, and Lower

• Meet your Power Animals and Teachers

• Receive guidance and healing from your Power Animal or Teacher

• Divination and Healing Journeys

Workshop Dates and Times:

We will meet each Wednesday evening in February 2021.

• February 3rd, 10th, 17th, and 24th, 2021

• 5:30 pm to 7:00 pm PST

Workshop Cost: $140

A $35 deposit is required to hold your space in the workshop. The deposit will be deducted from the cost of the workshop. Full payment is due by February 2, 2021.

Prerequisites: This course is open to beginners just getting started with their journey practice and those learning to journey for the first time. This workshop or its equivalent is a prerequisite to many of the intermediate and advanced workshops offered by One Heart Medicine©.

Workshop Description:

In The Turn of the Wheel™, we will explore topics in Shamanism to deepen our spiritual practice and bring it into our everyday life. At this time, all of us need to open our connection to our true Spirit’s multidimensional soul, our healed ancestors, and nature in a safe way. We will explore topics such as the power of words, developing a relationship with nature, meeting an Ancestor to receive healing and guidance, finding your power stories, and much more. All journey circle topics are chosen by Spirit and posted once Brittany has received that information. To bring our Circle closer together and build a safe community environment, we ask that all participants sign up for at least one full session. Each session is a three-month journey into the exploration of Shamanism.

Session 1 Dates and Times:

January 23, 2021: 10:00am – 11:30am PST

February 20, 2021: 10:00am - 11:30am PST

March 20, 2021: 10:00am – 11:30am PST

The Turn of the Wheel Series will continue each month throughout 2021. Future dates will be released as we get closer to each quarter. The application only needs to be filled out one time per person.

Full Session Pre-Payment: $80

The security deposit is $30, non-refundable, and will be applied to the cost of the full session. Class size will be limited so please reserve early!

Prerequisites: 

All participants must have the ability to complete a successful Shamanic Journey before attending the first Circle. This includes having a relationship with a Teacher, Power Animal or Other Shamanic Being, an understanding of the Three Shamanic Worlds and the Structure of a Journey (setting intention, journeying safely, returning at the sound of the return beat, and becoming fully present in your body).

One Heart Medicine Readings and Lecture

Brittany Shirley, owner of One Heart Medicine, is a Shamanic Practitioner and Teacher who offers Shamanic Mediumship, Healing, and Workshops. At the expo she will be offering mediumship sessions for those who wish to receive personal guidance from their power animals or teachers. Shamanic healing sessions are available by appointment after the expo has ended. Shamanic healing is spirit-guided healing that can address many issues including but not limited to depression, anxiety, energy field blockages, acute pain, lack of passion and meaning in one's life, and feelings of being disconnected from one's body and soul purpose. These sessions are personalized to each client and results vary from person to person.
